Obviously, the captain of each ship can ask the Encyclopedia something.
This thread is to discuss questions to ask the Encyclopedia, as well as clarifications about the game.

Can I intentionally miss, or will the rest of my crew be able to tell?

That reminds me, there is the problem of Khan not having a cover ability.
My boarding party/explode shit ability won't end up as village tools in narration.

What do you mean? So when we send a boarding party over to the Piett, it says "Khan sends a boarding party over to the Piett" instead of "enemy boarding parties are on your ship"?

If the village is smart it will suggest throwing out all info out in the open because each ship is infiltrated. Unless they weren't planning on detailed discussions per ship. Or as soon as one player is narration confirmed have the network head deal with matters.
Would be odd for me to say HEY I SEND VENUS BOARDING PARTIES. If I say I CAN BLOW SHIT UP and narration says Venus blew shit up of my target, it won't fly.
Likewise if we don't have the Khan attack the phallia ship and attack another ship instead: Narration might betray that we didn't use Khan weaponry on phallia and a village ship was attacked by Khan weaponry.
Much on our actions depends on how much is revealed through encyclopedia and narration. If we can fly under the radar we can do it, but if instead it's basically a mafia reveal we're screwed.

Oh Alegis. But seriously, the village could just as easily go 'hm, coordinating stuff in the open's a baaaaad idea' and not share stuff freely.

Maybe we could ask who has access to weapon controls on the ships. That might get us some fodder to frame people.

Do the ships stats (current armor/HP/shields) appear in narration?

All of the player ships stats are always public.
Venusian ships will not have their stats revealed under normal circumstances.

Can the sensors of the ships determine where attacks are coming from?
I.E. If the Khan attacks another ship, will that be revealed in narration

If the Khan directly attacks a ship, yes, that will be in the narration. Other things (Like the use of the 'Zig Zag' power) will remain ambiguous.

So, what happens when we beam someone over? If we have two tac officers, can they both use weapons? Cause that would be pretty cool...

Yes. As you collect more crew, each will be able to give the Khan more actions. The only drawback is that they lose their sympathizer power (well, that, and the fact that it may become suspicious as the Khan's pool grows larger and larger).

If we get two Tac officers, I think we should probably screw being subtle and just go and kick the crap out of them. It's not like they can vote us off, after all...
