Day 2

Post by Alegis on Jul 25, 2010 4:22:11 GMT -5
I think we should probably just full out shoot at some of the ships. Then spend the day voting someone out, refuse to airlock him and spend another day voting.
Because I believe sooner or later the encyclopedia thing is going to reveal us as being a total traitor ship. Might as well make use of the resources in the meantime. The public info thing is basically giving the village the information advantage of the mafia as long as they ask questions.

No. Teucrian's ability didn't reveal him. Kay's question to the encyclopedia revealed him.
Megatin hasn't been outed. His background info was revealed; it's up to you guys to drive the spin on what that background information 'really' means.

No, Alegis. I asked a couple of times what would help you guys out most, 'cause I couldn't spend the time on the game yesterday, and got nothing. So I did what the (single) crewmember on my ship requested, 'cause it'd have been weird not to.
So, today, I'm not going to do anything. At all. Unless it is vetted and cleared and approved by every single sympathiser! You guys agree on what I'm doing, and send me an order.
But it has to be before 5pm EST, or it won't get sent in. I'm on GMT remember.

Post by Alegis on Jul 25, 2010 6:55:34 GMT -5
Well you asked if there was anything in general to be done (and the response was concerning vote wagons) and that your team wasn't saying much.
No reason to work against the plans Teucrian was laying out though, if you wanted to ask the question your teammate asked it would have been better to let the thread know so Teucrian could cancel his plan.
Ah well, shit happens. Though if you dare to ask the question "is there a full traitor ship?" I will kill you with my bare hands. Or anything else really that makes them believe there isn't just 1 or 2 traitors on each ship divided equally. The information you ask is public, so it's better to be rather useless info. Will a ship getting hit fail to do this or that, or whatever.

Megatin hasn't been outed. His background info was revealed; it's up to you guys to drive the spin on what that background information 'really' means. Guy who shot down their sympathizer spouses or someone convicted for being a sympathizer but brought aboard to the insistence of a sympathizer captain. Not too surprising what the village would pick. Of course the latter they don't know .. yet.

Post by megatin on Jul 25, 2010 10:11:50 GMT -5
Losing Teucrian could be ok if we can get the village to distrust encyclopedia answers as a trade off. If you've going to be spaced T, you might as well divert power away from Romanqwerty or something? A bit less firepower out of the Piett I guess.
Using the torpedo sabotage on that nice Space Bomb sitting on the Piett would go a long way towards crippling it if you roll well. Or the williams Proton Torpedo, I guess, since it because it bypasses shields.
For Kay: I can't really think of a good non-suspicious question to ask right now. Asking for infomation about the Phalla might work. It's probably about to die anyways, so it's useless to the village.
Assuming I get to shoot today, do you all think I should do what I'm supposed to (hit the phalla) to try and get back into my crew's good graces, or screw it and blast the Piett or something?

I think you should use your sympathizer power on the Piatt.

So, do we think that the Khan should just light up another ship? Maybe we can target megatin's ship and get him on board for this round.

Well, the chief's at full health and shields right now, so I don't think you'd be able to drop her in one day.
We're currently at 10 mafia, 19 villagers. Killing the Williams + 1 other ship (The piett is the weakest, but with it's high AC it's the hardest to pull off) will give us control of the vote even with Teucrian's, which would be awesome, but I don't know how likely pulling that off would be...We've got the guns of the Cheif (maybe), the guns of the Khan, Alegis's Torp sabotage, and random NPC damage, which is a lot, but they would all have to hit for this to work I think.

I just sent a wave of clarifications over to The Ender to see just how much damage we can do if we go all out, so we can see what to target where for maximum effect.

Also, I'm thinking that our Quantum torpedoes could really wreck the Piett's shit, what with the 1d12 x2 damage to unshielded targets.
Otherwise, we may just want to lay into the Williams with the following actions:
Captain: adventfalls (+10) = GIVE HER ALL SHE'S GOT (Charge Weapons) Tactical Officer: Minor Second (+8) = FIRE PRIMARY WEAPONS = (Targeting Williams with Phaser Array) Chief Engineer: Captain Marcus (+6) = I'M GIVING HER ALL SHE'S GOT (Charge Weapons) Helmsman: Capfalcon (+8) = We're Right On Top Of Her (Targeting Williams with Phaser Array) Science Officer: Frostmist (+6) = THESE SHOULD DO THE TRICK (Load some Quantum Torpedoes) Commando Sergeant: Alegis (+10) = SABATOGE STORES (Williams)
The best thing is that only two of these are obviously treacherous. We might be able to wrangle another day of confusion out of it.
